For more than 35 years, Bernie Mermelstein has directed business operations at MZ Berger & Co., headquartered in New York City. He leads the development of jewelry, electronic accessories, and home decor, among a wide array of other products, and he supervises more than 700 employees in offices around the world. During his tenure as CEO, Bernie Mermelstein has led the company to garner awards from Wal-Mart, Sears, and Kohl’s for excellence in vending, partnering, and supplying, respectively.
Bernie Mermelstein entered the business sector after earning a JD at New York Law School. In addition to his legal education, he holds a degree in history from Yeshiva University.
Away from his professional responsibilities, Mermelstein enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes to watch sports and frequently attends games of the New York Knicks, Green Bay Packers, and the Boston Red Sox. An avid singer, he once sang the American and Israeli National Anthems at a Brooklyn Cyclones contest.
